The Daily Route by Lesley Luce explores Canada’s evolving identity through the imagery and symbolism of its postage stamps. The work assembles a visual archive of how Canada has represented itself across generations. The title references a fragment unique to this work, depicting a striking Canada Post worker holding a Tim Hortons coffee, and reflects both the daily routes of postal workers and the familiar rituals of commuters. From a distance, the composition appears as a bold geometric pattern. Up close, its intricate details reveal layers of symbols and references, forming a portrait of the routines and small rituals that shape everyday life across the country.
